The BIC – International Building Industrialization of Construction Exhibition Asia – is an annual trade fair that has established itself since its inception in 2013 as a leading platform for innovation and exchange within Asia’s industrial construction sector. Organized by VNU Exhibition Asia Ltd., a seasoned host of international industry events, the exhibition offers a high-quality experience for both exhibitors and professional visitors.

The event takes place at the state-of-the-art Shanghai New International Expo Center, located in the economically vibrant heart of Shanghai. As the second-largest exhibition venue in China, it boasts excellent infrastructure, including direct access to Shanghai Pudong International Airport via the Maglev train – a clear advantage for international attendees.

In response to the rapid growth of China’s construction industry, BIC focuses on current trends and technologies in industrialized building. It serves not only as a showcase for innovative construction methods but also as a hands-on networking hub for professionals, entrepreneurs, and investors – particularly for international companies seeking to enter the Chinese market.

The exhibition highlights solutions across the entire value chain: from architectural design with integrated EPC approaches, BIM consulting, and CAD software, to prefabricated steel and concrete structures, formwork and scaffolding systems, and production technologies for construction components. It also features digital tools for bridge and underground infrastructure projects. In addition, a wide range of concrete and cement products are presented, alongside energy management and insulation technologies for sustainable building envelopes.

One of the fair’s distinctive features is its strong practical orientation. Numerous exhibits and live demonstrations showcase modern connection techniques, hybrid construction methods, and automation solutions that offer advantages in design, cost efficiency, and production.

BIC is exclusively open to industry professionals, targeting decision-makers in architecture, engineering, construction, urban planning, as well as investors and project developers. Within a professional setting, the exhibition delivers insights into future-oriented technologies, trends, and business models. With its focus on industrialization, digitalization, and sustainability, BIC has firmly established itself as a key industry event shaping the future of construction.
